Background Story of KYMF

Mr. Augustine Nelson Kumi Yeboah lived a life defined by service, generosity, and commitment to education. As a teacher, he dedicated his time and energy to shaping young minds and supporting those around him. He did not possess great wealth, yet he believed deeply in the value of sharing. His life demonstrated that generosity does not depend on how much a person has, but on the willingness to give.

Throughout his life, he consistently shared the little he had with family, students, and members of his community. People who knew him often witnessed simple but meaningful acts of kindness. He ensured that whatever he had was shared so that others could benefit as well. These actions left a lasting impression on those who grew up around him.

His children and students learned an important lesson from watching his example. Giving was not treated as an occasional act. It was part of daily life. It reflected compassion, responsibility, and care for others.
In 2022, Mr. Augustine Nelson Kumi Yeboah passed away after a short illness caused by cancer. His passing created a deep loss for his family and community. Yet his life and values continued to inspire those who knew him.

Out of this inspiration came a commitment to continue the legacy he built through his actions. This commitment led to the establishment of the Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation, KYMF.

The foundation exists to honor his life and continue the generosity he practiced. It carries forward the values he demonstrated as a teacher, mentor, and community member. KYMF focuses on supporting people in need, encouraging education, and promoting a culture of giving within communities.

Through the work of the foundation, the spirit of Augustine Nelson Kumi Yeboah continues to influence lives. Each act of support and generosity reflects the example he set during his lifetime.

The Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation stands as a living tribute to a man who believed that even the smallest act of giving can make a difference. His life showed that when people share what they have, communities grow stronger and hope continues to spread.

About Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation

Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation (KYMF) is a non-profit Christian charity organization formed by a group of people who share a common mission. We want to make the world a better place through the act of giving. Our work reflects Christ-like living through kindness, generosity, and service to others.

The foundation exists to promote a culture of giving and compassion within communities. We believe that no act of kindness is too small. Even when resources are limited, sharing what you have can bring hope to someone who is struggling.

Scripture teaches the importance of generosity and care for others. Acts 20:35 says, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Proverbs 19:17 teaches, "Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will reward them for what they have done." These teachings guide the mission and actions of the Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation.

Our belief is simple and practical. If you have three meals a day and your neighbor has none, you share your meals so that neither of you goes to sleep hungry. Compassion requires action. Love requires sacrifice. Giving reflects the heart of Christ.

Matthew 25:35–36 reminds us of our responsibility to others:

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger, and you invited me in, I needed clothes, and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me."

These words define the work we seek to carry out every day.

Our mission is to reach people worldwide who face hardship and suffering. Many communities struggle with poverty, illness, natural disasters, and a lack of necessities. KYMF seeks to support individuals and families going through these challenges by sharing the resources God has entrusted to us.

We focus on helping those who are often overlooked and vulnerable in society.

These include:

  • The sick who need care and support
  • People experiencing poverty who lack the necessities
  • Older adults who need compassion and assistance
  • Widows and widowers who face life without support
  • Orphans who need protection and opportunity
  • Families affected by illness or natural disasters
  • People experiencing hardship and suffering

James 1:27 teaches, "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

This verse reflects the heart of our mission.

KYMF does not discriminate. Kindness and compassion are extended to anyone in need. Our goal is to serve wherever God directs us. We believe every human life carries value and dignity.

Galatians 6:9–10 encourages us in our work:

"Let us not become weary in doing good. For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people."

Even when we do not have much, we share the little that God has blessed us with. A small act of generosity can restore hope, bring relief, and remind someone that they are not forgotten.

The vision of KYMF is to build communities where compassion replaces indifference, where generosity replaces selfishness, and where people support one another in times of need.

Romans 12:13 says, "Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality."

Our goal is to reach people during their most difficult moments. When someone is struggling with sickness, loss, hunger, or hardship, they need encouragement, support, and care.

Through our programs and outreach, we aim to:

  • Provide support for people experiencing poverty and hardship
  • Offer assistance to those affected by illness and health challenges
  • Support vulnerable groups such as widows, widowers, and orphans
  • Respond to communities affected by natural disasters
  • Promote compassion, generosity, and service within society

Every act of giving reflects the love of Christ.

1 John 3:17–18 teaches:

"If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth."

The Kumi Yeboah Memorial Foundation exists to turn faith into action.

Our mission is to place hope in the hearts of those who are struggling. We want to bring comfort to the hurting, support to the weak, and encouragement to those who feel forgotten.

Above all, we seek to live out the command of Christ found in John 13:34:

"Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another."

Through faith, service, and generosity, KYMF works to make the world a better place, one act of kindness at a time.
